How thick are floor tiles?

TFO’s floor tiles typically range from 8mm to 12mm thick. If you’re looking at porcelain pavers for outdoor areas, those can go up to 20mm.

What is the price of floor tiles?

Floor tile prices vary depending on the material, size, and finish you go with. At TFO, our range starts from as low as $22 per square metre, so there’s genuinely something for every budget. Because we import directly, our prices tend to be well below what you’d pay at most retailers.

Can floor tiles be used on walls?

Yes. A lot of our customers use the same tile on both the floor and the walls, especially in bathrooms and kitchens. It creates a clean, cohesive look that makes the space feel bigger and more pulled together.

Which tile types are best for the floor?

Porcelain,  ceramic, and  natural stone tiles are among the best options for flooring, offering durability, longevity, and beauty.

Porcelain floor tiles are fired at higher temperatures than ceramic, making them denser, tougher, and built to withstand daily wear in high-traffic and wet areas. Ceramic tiles are lighter and more budget-friendly, suitable for bedrooms and living areas. Natural stone brings a beauty and character that’s hard to replicate.

How many floor tiles do I need?

Which tile finish is best for the floor?

Matte and textured finishes are great for floors because they offer good grip and slip resistance. Satin finishes are another nice option if you want a bit of a sheen without going full gloss.
