Our Story
Tile Factory Outlet (TFO) was founded in Auburn in 2005. Although a new retail model at the time, Managing Director Len Franco’s decades of experience as an importer and wholesaler helped TFO quickly gain traction and become a success.
In 2009, we relocated to 107 Warren Road, Smithfield, transforming from a clearance outlet into Australia’s largest single-tile store. Our unbeatable prices and massive range now attract customers from all over the country – and even internationally!
In 2016, Maria Franco joined as a director, bringing her expertise in marketing, fashion, and interior design to help expand TFO further. Each year, our team travels to Italy’s Cersaie and Marmomacc fairs, the most prestigious tile and stone exhibitions in the world. This allows us to source the latest designs and cutting-edge technology, bringing the best innovations directly to our customers.
Established in 2016, our Commercial Division is dedicated to supporting builders, developers, and contractors with projects of any scale—from large multi-residential developments to bespoke custom builds. In 2022, we expanded further with The Design Lab, an exclusive space tailored to architects and designers. With direct access to our global network of manufacturers and expert technical support, our team helps industry professionals source the perfect products and solutions to bring their vision to life.
Where We Are Today
Today, TFO is a family driven enterprise with Gino, Annalee and Marcella joining Len and Maria as directors, and the third generation of the family gaining experience.
Under the leadership of Maria and Len, TFO continues to evolve, passing on decades of industry knowledge to the next generation. Our mission remains unchanged: to provide you with top-quality tiles at the most competitive prices.
