Ceramic Floor Tiles – The Advantages

When you are deciding to remodel one of the rooms of your home, a great way to really spice up your home is to use ceramic floor tiles. Most older styled home owners want to carry on with ceramic floor tiles even though porcelain floor tiles have become so popular. Why? This is because they want to carry on the theme of the home. If you are one such home owner please read of the benefits listed below.

Ceramic Tiles Are Easy To Maintain

Ceramic tiles have a good durability factor (many are rated with a PEI of 4 or 5, these grades will hold up well even in high traffic areas of your home). They are easily cleaned. Home owners have been happily cleaning their ceramic tiles in their homes for decades and because of this have come up with steam mops and the like to clean them. They also hold their luster well and don’t tend to show wear like vinyl flooring would and unlike timber flooring don’t need re-polishing all the time.

Although vinyl flooring may be less expensive than ceramic floor tiles, the lifespan of tiles far outlast vinyl. Ceramic floor tiles also hold up better to heavy usage such as moving furniture. You don’t need to worry about getting a rip or tear in ceramic floor tiles. Keeping the tiles looking great is no hassle and they are sturdy.

They also come in a variety of colors, styles, and shapes. You can match any almost any color to your existing kitchen or bathroom without any problems. Typically, you need to go with what color fits the room best, but the great thing about these tiles is you can mix and combine colors as you see fit. This helps to make every floor a unique piece of art that is specific to your home.

Ceramic floor tiles are normally the least expensive option with even grade 4 Spanish floor tiles selling for around $10-15 /m2 at Tile Factory Outlet Pty Ltd Based in Smithfield, Sydney.  Check out TFO’s prices or buy tiles online at the TFO online store.

Thanks for the advice. I never knew that ceramics were that beneficial to use than other types of tiles. Always thought that all tiles were the same.
