can these tiles be laid over other tile?
Can they be laid over pavers on road base or
can they be laid on the road base after the pavers have been lifted?
These tiles can be laid over existing tiles as long as the tiles being laid on are even and flat, these can not be laid over pavers that have been laid on road base as a road base at times is uneven and if there is any moment this particular tile could crack, so only lay these on a concrete slab or on exciting tiles at are flat and even. Just wondering what grout colour would you guys recommend for this tile ?
Hi there, thanks for your enquiry. For this tile, we recommend using Davco Elite grout in colour #107 Macchiato
Would these tiles suit a kitchen?
Hi there, thanks for your enquiry. These tiles have an anti slip finish which makes them difficult to clean if installed indoors. We recommend a matt finish tile for kitchens and internal use.

Hi Guys, What is the thickness of this tile? thanks
Hi there, thanks for your enquiry. These tiles are approximately 9mm thick.
Can these tiles be used over sprayed concrete without screeding. Patio is quite level, but we cannot go much higher than the tile and would prefer not to screed. Will it stick? The area has had a sealer on it, but has worn off in most places, and only a few unused places does water still stay on top (like on a waxed car), it mostly drains off now. Being sprayed concrete it has a rough surface that hopefully the glue could stick?
Hi there, thanks for your enquiry. To get the glue to stick, we recommend that the area be gurney’d to clean the floor, then use a primer on the cleaned surface and apply the adhesive over the primer. If you need any further information, please give our office a call on (02) 8728 7800 and speak with Gino or Linley.
Some tilers that we had quote think that it would require screeding due to the length of the tile in the fact that it sort of has a ‘bow’ in it. What do you think? Thanks
Hi there, thanks for your enquiry. Generally, screeding is recommended if your substrate is not level. It is common for longer tiles to have a slight bow, however, using a self levelling clip system while laying prevents any lipping issues. This type of system does not have to be used over screed if the substrate is level. For further information please give our office a call on (02) 8728 7800 and speak with Gino or Linley.
Can these tiles be used in the car garage? If, would they be able to bear the weight of the car? Being anti-slip can the tire marks be cleaned easily.
Do TFO has any other timber look tile for the garage that can bear car weight and easy to clean.
Thank you for asking. Sure, these tiles can be used on the floor in your car garage as long as they are installed properly. The cleaning of these tiles is easy as the surface is glazed. All of TFO’s anti-slip timber look tiles that are made of porcelain can be used for garage floors.
Can these tiles be used next to a salt water pool?
Hi thank you for getting in touch with us. Sure, you can use these tiles around a salt water swimming pool.
can this product be used in shower area like bathroom?
Hi there. Yes these tiles can be used in bathrooms, however being an anti-slip surface, they could be hard to clean. Therefore, you may prefer the soft brown Italian timber look porcelain tiles as they are smoother on the surface. You can see them at https://www.tfo.com.au/buy-tiles-online/all-tiles/buy-timber-look-tiles/soft-brown-r10-italian-timber-look-porcelain-tile.
Can these tiles be used outdoors too?
Are there slip resistance – what is the rating
These tiles are rated R11 which means it can also be used in commercial wet areas. They are approx. 10mm in thickness, the variation in thickness is all within Australian and international standards.
