Hi, what’s the best way to lay these pavers around a concrete pool? I.e. mortar the paver onto a concrete base or 25mm sand over a concrete base or can you lay on a sand base with compacted road base underneath? Also would you grout or use a paver sand?

Hi,
Thank you for your online enquiry, a paver doesn’t need to be laid onto concrete due to the thickness, eg a tile would need to be laid onto a slab because its thinner there are chances that they will crack.
A paver onto a compressed sand base is quite commonly used and is what i suggest you do, remember you coping tiles will need to be glued down due to the over hang into the pool.
If you are going to use compressed sand under the paver you might as well use paver sand to fill the holes in the pavers, its personal preference at the end of the day,
I hope this helped, if you have anymore questions don’t hesitate to contact the office on 87287800.
